Texas Trip 2011-March

I didn't upload any pictures last year because I was really annoyed by my lack of Christmas pictures. But now that I've uploaded them I'll post all the rest of everything..So here are the pictures from our Texas Trip last year in march.. So almost a year ago.. Did I mention we are currently in Texas? lol

We went to Texas in March of 2011. It was a fun trip, but the beginning proved to be somewhat difficult. The night before we were leaving, we realized we had a flat tire.. So instead of leaving early in the morning we had to get the new tire and take Declan to the Kennel. So we left later than we wanted. We stopped in Memphis for BBQ, and then we stayed over night in Marshall, Texas.

The next day we made it to Katy. The weather was around 80-85 degrees the entire time we were there.

On the way home we ended up hitting a huge log that was in the middle of the freeway. We ended up with a flat tire in a town called Carlisle, Arkansas. The guy changing the tire was very nice, but he told us his entire life story before he let us go. So we ended up finally getting to Memphis around 2am.. I don't even think we finished eating our food before we fell asleep.

The next morning we finished the trip. Home Sweet Home.

Our flat tire...
While passing a semi truck.. We hit a giant log in the road. Couldn't really do anything because we couldn't get into the right lane. It was so dark and we didn't see it till we were right there. I was driving. Once we hit it, we knew something was wrong... so I pulled off to the side of the freeway. Allen got out and said it looked like maybe just a flat. There was a rest stop about a mile up the road.. So I drove on the tire all the way there. It was the only thing we could really do. The way to the rest stop all the car did was screech and thump. Finally onstar set us up with a guy to get us a new tire at 10 at night.

Home Sweet Home. So glad the craziness of the day before was over and we were close to home, I took this picture.
